Hi. I'm Gaby and I had a medication abortion in Illinois in 2009.

I found out I was pregnant when I was already overwhelmed with 3 kids and poor, and my first thought was, "I can’t do this.” I decided to have a medication abortion because I wanted to get my children out of poverty and be a better parent.

I received my abortion pills through telehealth.

From start to finish, the process was EMPOWERING, easy, and private. I took the pills at home, and I felt relieved and proud. What surprised me most was how easy it was.

Because I had access to medication abortion, I was able to go to college, get a good job, and raise my kids in a good community. I felt powerful, like a good mom.
