Hi, My Name Is A Woman.

Hi. I'm a woman now and I had a medication abortion in Minnesota in 2005.

I found out I was pregnant when I started getting sick but I was only 14 years old, and my first thought was, "I'm still a baby myself.” I decided to have a medication abortion because I was too young, still in school, my future. I was still so young and small, I believe children shouldn’t be raising children. I didn't want to quit school and be a young teen mom and a statistic.

I received my abortion pills through a clinic.

From start to finish, the process was quick, easy, felt safe. I took the pills at home, and I felt calm. What surprised me most was how easy and quick it was compared to what people try to scare you with, especially people against it scare you and tell horror stories but it was so simple.

Because I had access to medication abortion, I was able to finish high school and college. I felt peace of mind and control of my body and my decision on what to do with my own body and life and future.

I'm sharing my story because no one should feel they are alone in this and that you have no other options.

Medication abortion is life saving medical care.
