Hi, My Name Is Chelsea.

Hi. I'm Chelsea, and I had a medication abortion in Washington in 2016. I found out I was pregnant when my period was late, and my first thought was "Oh, I don't want that (meaning having a child)."I decided to have a medication abortion because I knew I was not interested in being a parent

I received my abortion pills from a clinic.

From start to finish, the process was straightforward because it was legal! I took the pills at home, with comfort shows queued, and I felt some discomfort and cramping, but it wasn't worse than a rough period. What surprised me most was that I felt fine the next day.

Because I had access to medication abortion, I was able to define my life and make the right choice for me. I felt like I'd made the right choice.

I'm sharing my story because only America stigmatizes abortion to such villainous proportions.

Medication abortion is a completely acceptable choice.
