Hi. I'm Cruz and I had a medication abortion in Texas in 2026.

I found out I was pregnant when I missed my period, and my first thought was, "I guess I'm having a baby.” I decided to have a medication abortion because my partner at the time was pro-life and had pretended to be pro-choice. He said "abortion was murder" when I was talking about our options. I knew then and there I did not want a baby with someone pro life.

I received my abortion pills through an organization.

From start to finish, the process was a rollercoaster of emotions. I took the pills at home, and I felt sad but confident. What surprised me most was my trusted person’s reaction.
