Hi. I'm Gabby, and I had a medication abortion in Florida in 2025.

I found out I was pregnant when I missed my period, and I was terrified. I decided to have a medication abortion because I have so many health problems, and having another child would kill me.

I received my abortion pills through the mail by telehealth.

From start to finish, the process was easy, safe, and effective. I took the pills at Home, surrounded by support, and I felt at ease because I didn’t have to explain or experience harassment from protestors. What surprised me most was how different it was to have an abortion at home vs in a clinic.

Because I had access to medication abortion, I was able to survive and be a mom to the child I already have. I felt Control and freedom.

I'm sharing my story because no one should feel shamed or like they don’t have a choice in their healthcare decisions. As a person of color, I know what it’s like to constantly navigate a system that was never made for us.

Medication abortion is normal, and it is safe.
