Hi. I'm Kay and I had a medication abortion in Wyoming in 2025.

I found out I was pregnant when I missed my period, which is historically very regular, and my first thought was, "I can't do this.” I decided to have a medication abortion because I had an 18-month-old and I wasn't ready for another. I was about to start classes to finally earn my bachelor's degree after many years. I had a once in a lifetime trip coming up. Pregnancy is a horrible experience for me. It simply wasn't the right time.

I received my abortion pills through the mail.

From start to finish, the process was personal. I took the pills at home, and I felt nervous but relieved. What surprised me most was how quickly it happened.

Because I had access to medication abortion, I was able to keep all of my immediate plans that are helping me accomplish my goals. I felt a bit of sadness but immense relief.
