Hi, My Name Is Lizzy.

Hi. I'm Lizzy and I had a medication abortion in Illinois in 1996.

I found out I was pregnant when I was in infertility treatment, and my first thought was elation. I decided to have a medication abortion because my pregnancy was ectopic.

I received my abortion pills through a clinic.

From start to finish, the process was painful but saved my life. I took the pills at home, and I felt depressed and sad. What surprised me most was how painful it was.

Because I had access to medication abortion, I was able to go on to have two beautiful, healthy children. I felt sad but thankful that I had access to treatment.

I'm sharing my story because women are literally dying because ignorant men are writing deadly laws and taking women’s rights away.

Medication abortion life-saving.
