Hi, My Name Is M.

Hi. I'm M and I had a medication abortion in TN in 2018.

I found out I was pregnant when I missed my period, and my first thought was excited. I decided to have a medication abortion because I had a miscarriage.

I received my abortion pills through a clinic.

From start to finish, the process was emotional. I took the pills at home, and I felt numb. What surprised me most was how awful it would have been if I didn’t have the meds.

Because I had access to medication abortion, I was able to not writhe in pain and blood on the kitchen floor. I felt empty.

I'm sharing my story because mifepristone isn’t just for abortions.

Medication abortion should not be stigmatized.
