Hi. I'm Mary and I had a medication abortion in Wisconsin in 1982.

I found out I was pregnant when I saw an OB for endometriosis, and my first thought was excitement. I decided to have a medication abortion because two months later, I was bleeding heavily and I ended up having a D&C Christmas morning 1982. If that wouldn’t have happened, I would be dead and not have my daughter the year later.

I received my abortion pills.

From start to finish, the process was heartbreaking. I took the pills, and I felt devastated.
