Hi, My Name I Daisy.
Hi. I'm Daisy, and I had a medication abortion in Arizona in 2010.
I found out I was pregnant when I missed my period, and my first thought was: "Oh no, this is awful." I decided to have a medication abortion because I didn’t want a child, I wasn’t ready for a child, the father of the child was no longer in my life because he was dangerous and unstable.
I received my abortion pills at a clinic.
From start to finish, the process was simple and calm. I took the pills at home, and I felt sad and very relieved. What surprised me most was how quickly it was all over.
Because I had access to medication abortion, I was able to go on to have a family with my husband years later and birth two wanted and beautiful children. I felt free.
I'm sharing my story because my life and the would-be life of that child would have been drastically different and unsafe. It would have resulted in harm and emotional damage.
Medication abortion is kindness and routine healthcare
