Hi. I'm Cat and I had a medication abortion in New Jersey in 2020.

I found out I was pregnant when started vomiting every morning, and my first thought was, "but I took Plan B.” I decided to have a medication abortion because as a 19 year old college student I wouldn’t have been able to provide a child with the financial and emotional support they deserve.

I received my abortion pills through a clinic.

From start to finish, the process was simple, straightforward, and supportive. I took the pills at home, and I felt relieved. What surprised me most was how quick it was.

Because I had access to medication abortion, I was able to graduate from college, prioritize my own mental health, and begin a career in my desired field. I felt proud of myself for not giving birth to a child who I couldn’t provide for and wouldn’t have wanted.
