Hi, My Name Is Freya.
Hi. I'm Freya and I had a medication abortion in Washington State in 1999.
I found out I was pregnant when I had been trying for over 1 year, and my first thought was EXCITEMENT. I decided to have a medication abortion because at 30 weeks, my daughter was diagnosed with Triploidy - three FULL sets of chromosomes.
I received my abortion pills through a clinic.
From start to finish, the process was 3 days under hospital care. I took the pills at the hospital, and I felt so sad I was losing my first pregnancy. What surprised me most was the compassion the staff had for me and my family.
Because I had access to medication abortion, I was able to give birth in an loving enviroment with my family with me. I felt empty and sad.
I'm sharing my story because no one, no man, and no government should have any decision making over my body.
I had a medication abortion when I was 30 week pregnant, and gave birth to a 1-pound baby girl.
