Hi, My Name Is Lisa.
Hi. I'm Lisa, and I had a medication abortion in Germany in 2011 & 2026.
I found out I was pregnant when I took a test, and my first thought was shock and happiness. I decided to have a medication abortion because: first, I was in a bad relationship, and now I feel too old for another kid. I have two healthy, happy kids and a job that I love. I turn 39 next year.
I received my abortion pills from a clinic.
From start to finish, the process felt natural, no invasion into my body, private, empowering, and a good process. I took the pills first at the clinic, second at home, and I felt relaxed and safe. I had an emergency number from the doc, but could have the process in private at home. What surprised me most was everything, but especially the pain was absolutely manageable with ibuprofen 400 and Buscopan. The hormone change was the hardest part.
Because I had access to medication abortion, I was able to NOT have an operation!!!! I felt I had a possibility to do it in a softer way.
I'm sharing my story because We NEED this Option! It should be legal and available everywhere with good medical accompaniment.
Medication abortion is healthcare! Should be for free! And not morally judged! Is a female right! It is feminism!
