Hi, My Name Is Sarah.
Hi. I'm Sarah, and I had a medication abortion in Montana in 2004.
I found out I was pregnant when I had been sexually assaulted and never got my period, and my first thought was: "I’m going to die." I decided to have a medication abortion because I was 13 years old. If I hadn’t had access to an abortion, I would have killed myself.
I received my abortion pills from a clinic.
From start to finish, the process was easy, supportive, and lifesaving. I took the pills at my friend’s house, and I felt relief in the extreme. What surprised me most was that there were people who wanted to help me.
Because I had access to medication abortion, I was able to live a full life and make my own choices. I felt like I didn’t need to die.
I'm sharing my story because everyone should have the right to choose their own story.
Medication abortion is essential.
